Lviv airport boosts passenger flow by 46.3% in 2017, to over 1 mln people

Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport in 2017 boosted its passenger flow by 46.3% from 2016, to 1.08 million people, according to the airport's press service.

The airport in 2017 handled 906,000 passengers flying on international routes and 174,000 people on domestic ones, it said.

At the same time, the passenger flow in December 2017 alone was 80,600 people, which was 40.1% up year-over-year.

The number of flights made from/to the airport rose by 27.5%, to 955.

Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport is the largest in the west of Ukraine in terms of passenger traffic and the network of routes.

In 2011, the airport underwent reconstruction. A new terminal with a total area of 48,000 square meters was built along with the reconstruction of a runway. The airport is designed for servicing aircraft of "A", "B", "C" classes, as well as "D" class (Boeing-767).
