Ukraine in 2017 boosted revenue from exports of ferrous metals by 19.6%, to US$8.666 billion from $7.247 billion in 2016, according to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
Ferrous metals accounted for 20.03% of the country's foreign currency earnings from exports, it said.

In December 2017, exports of ferrous metals were estimated at $817.4 million, while those of metalware totaled $88.4 million.
In 2017, Ukraine imported ferrous metals worth $1.113 billion and metalware worth $806.8 million.
