Natural gas reserves in Ukrainian underground storage facilities (USFs) on December 31-January 7 shrank by 1.9%, or 275 million cubic meters, from 14.693 billion cubic meters to 14.418 bcm, according to the state-run gas transmission system operator Ukrtransgaz.
As reported, 44.46 mcm of natural gas was withdrawn from storage facilities on January 7 alone.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on October 26, Ukraine stopped injecting gas into underground storage facilities and began pumping it from USFs for the needs of the heating season.
