As of today, the highest level of competition in the Ukrainian labor market is observed among top managers, experts in the extraction of raw materials, lawyers, students without experience, as well those working in the field of arts, media and entertainment, according to the data of HeadHunter Ukraine international personnel portal published by the Novoe Vremya weekly.
In top management, an average of more than 12 candidates apply for one job (12.7), in the sphere of raw materials extraction – more than seven applicants (7.1), and in the legal sphere – over six (6.3).
In the "career start, students" category, an average of almost six people compete for a job (5.8). In the sphere of entertainment, media and arts, more than four people apply for a vacancy (4.4).

It was reported in December 2017 that the number of vacancies in Ukraine increased to almost one million in January-November 2017.
