The euro rate in Kyiv exchange officers on Jan 11 soared to UAH 33.85/34.20, while the U.S. dollar reached UAH 28.35/28.65, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
Quotations of the Ukrainian hryvnia against the U.S. dollar on the interbank forex market on Thursday, January 11, were set at UAH 28.44/28.46 per dollar, having weakened by 10 kopecks from the start of trading.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro were UAH 33.95/33.97 and those against the Russian ruble were UAH 0.4992/0.4998, a dealer of a commercial bank told UNIAN.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in late December, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said that fluctuations in the hryvnia exchange rate, as a result of which the value of the dollar in Ukraine's exchange offices reached UAH 28, were seasonal, and the situation would stabilize in January.

Hryvnia's historic low against the U.S. dollar was at UAH 30.01/USD in February 2015.
