The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has approved a list of 20 banks that will be able to participate in the regulator's currency intervention in the form of a request for the best forex rate in the first quarter of 2018, according to the NBU website.
As reported, ProCredit Bank was added to the list, while Prominvestbank -- excluded.
According to the regulator, the following banks may now participate in the January-March interventions: Alfa-Bank, Bank for Investments and Savings, Bank Credit Dnipro, ING Bank, Globus Bank, Credit Agricole Bank, OTP Bank, Oshchadbank, Pivdennyi Bank, PrivatBank, ProCredit Bank, FUIB, Raiffeisen Bank Aval, Sberbank, Citibank, TAScombank, Ukrgasbank, Ukreximbank, UkrSibbank, and Ukrsotsbank.
UNIAN memo. According to the NBU selection criteria, 20 financial institutions may participate in currency intervention in the form of a request for the best rate. Based on the results of the preceding quarter, such banks are required to have the best general rating among the banks on the interbank market, compiled taking into account the volume of bank transactions and assets.
