Trade envoy: Ukraine becomes EU's second largest butter supplier in 2017

Ukraine ranked second in terms of butter supplies to the European Union, while New Zealand topped the rating, according to Ukraine's Trade Representative Nataliya Mykolska.

"In January-November 2017, some 2,300 tonnes of the produce [butter] was shipped to the EU, while the annual supplies soared by almost seven times against 2016," she wrote on Facebook.

"According to our colleagues from the U.S., Ukraine ranked eighth in terms of butter exports in the world in January-October 2017, with 20,800 tonnes shipped and a three-fold year-over-year increase," she added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, butter prices in Ukraine rose by 27.6% in 2017 against 2016.
