Kyiv sees 6.06% decline in housing prices in past year

The average price of one-, two-, and three-room apartments on Kyiv's primary market from January 16, 2017 to January 15, 2018 dropped by 6.06%, or US$63, to $977 per square meter, according to the SV Development consulting company.

At the same time, Desniansky district offered apartments with the lowest price, being $722 per square meter on the average, while Pechersk was the most expensive district in terms of housing, with an average selling price set at $1,396 per square meter, it said.

The fall in prices of apartments on the secondary market was observed in all of Kyiv's districts. Prices of apartments in Dniprovsky district dropped most (by 7.24%, to $820 per square meter), and the least decline was recorded in Podilsky district (by 4.44%, to $905 per square meter).

In particular, Darnytsia district offered apartments with the lowest price, being $819 per square meter on the average, while Pechersk was the most expensive district in terms of housing, with an average selling price set at $1,684 per square meter.

The drop in prices of apartments on the secondary market was observed in all districts in Kyiv. Prices of apartments fell most in Darnytsia district (by 8.8%, to $819 per square meter), and the least decline was recorded in Shevchenkivsky and Pechersk districts, by 4.29% (to $1,384 per square meter) and by 4.75% (to $1,684 per square meter), respectively.

Further, the average price of one-, two-, and three-room apartments on capital's secondary market over the said period slid by 3.2%, to $1,118 per square meter.
