The National Bank of Ukraine on Wednesday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by one kopiyka, bringing the national currency to UAH 28.66 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for January 18:
US$100 costs UAH 2,866.6132 (on January 17, it was UAH 2,865.2576);
EUR 100 costs UAH 3,498.1281 (on January 17, it was UAH 3,504.2100);
10 RUB costs UAH 5.0654 (on January 17, it was UAH 5.0813).

Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 35.07/35.11, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.5056/0.5067.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 28.6661 to the dollar, with 676 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $390.28 million.
