Ukraine reported a 0.1% decline in industrial production January through December 2017 against a 2.8% increase in the 12 months of 2016, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
At the same time, industrial output in December 2017 grew by 0.4% from December 2016 if calendar adjustment is applied, it said. Yet, it declined by 0.5% without calendar adjustment.

According to the State Statistics Service, the mining industry saw a 5.8% decline in 2017 from 2016. However, the supply of electricity, gas, steam, air conditioning services along with the processing industry posted 4% growth.
As UNIAN reported, industrial production in Ukraine in January-December 2016 grew by 2.8% from 2015, after a decline for the fourth consecutive year, 2012 through 2015. The decline in industrial production in 2015 accelerated to 13.4% from 10.7% in 2014.
