Quotes of the hryvnia against the euro were set at UAH 35.00/35.04 per euro.
Ukraine's hryvnia significantly strengthened on Monday, January 29, when its quotes against the U.S. dollar on the interbank forex market had hit UAH 28.20/28.23 per U.S. dollar by the middle of trading.
Since the opening of trading, the hryvnia has strengthened by 26 kopiykas against the dollar, a commercial bank dealer told UNIAN.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average rate of the hryvnia on the interbank market was set at UAH 28.2574 per U.S. dollar as of 12:30 local time on January 29. Some 264 deals had been concluded by market participants to the tune of $129.06 million by that time.
As UNIAN reported, quotes of the hryvnia against the U.S. dollar on the interbank forex market at the end of trading on Friday, January 26, were fixed at UAH 28.47/28.50 per dollar, those against the euro at UAH 35.39/35.41 per euro, and against the Russian ruble at UAH 0.5079 per ruble.
