Ukraine sees further diesel fuel price hikes

Growth of fuel prices was recorded at OKKO, WOG, Mango, Jazz Oil, Parallel, and UPG filling stations.

Prices of diesel fuel at the OKKO and WOG chains of filling stations in Ukraine were hiked up by 50 kopiykas to over UAH 30 per liter, on Monday, January 29.

Diesel fuel at the OKKO filling stations is sold for UAH 30.49 per liter, while that at WOG stations is available at UAH 30.45 UAH per liter, Consulting Group A-95 reported.

The OKKO filling stations sell A-92 petrol for UAH 31.99 per liter, A-95 petrol for UAH 32.99 per liter, and A-95 'Premium' for UAH 33.99 per liter. WOG trades A-92 petrol at UAH 31.95 per liter, A-95 petrol at UAH 32.95 per liter, and A-95 'Premium' at UAH 33.95 per liter.

Experts say prices of fuel have also increased at Mango, Jazz Oil, Parallel, and UPG stations.

As UNIAN reported earlier, starting from August 2017, prices of light oil products have increased by UAH 5 or more per liter on the average, reaching record high values.

In the middle of December 2017, Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Ihor Nasalyk said that the ministry along with the Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) had set a commission that would analyze possible price hike collusion. On December 21, the AMCU launched a probe on the fuel market, suspecting OKKO and WOG of possible concerted actions undermining competition.
