NBU strengthens official exchange rate to UAH 28 to dollar

The National Bank of Ukraine on Tuesday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by 24 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 28 to the dollar.

The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for January 31:

US$100 costs UAH 2,800.8791 (on January 30, it was UAH 2,824.6515);

EUR 100 costs UAH 3,478.9719 (on January 30, it was UAH 3,496.6361);

10 RUB costs UAH 4.9757 (on January 30, it was UAH 5.0180).

Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 34.79/34.82, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4967/0.4975.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 28.0088 to the dollar, with 666 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $462.62 million.
