Germany's BSH decides to stop shipments of TM Zelmer home appliances to Ukraine

Germany's BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, the largest manufacturer of home appliances in Europe, has decided to stop shipments of TM Zelmer equipment to the Ukrainian market as of January 1, 2018.

The company is not going to close a warehouse for Zelmer spare parts [in Ukraine], therefore the warranty service of the equipment will continue," CEO of BSH Pobutova Tekhnika (BSH's representative office in Ukraine) Serhiy Maksymov said, the news outlet Liga.net reported.

Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH acquired the largest Polish manufacturer of small home appliances Zelmer S.A. in 2013. Experts estimated the deal at $187 million. The Zelmer brand retained strong positions in sales of vacuum cleaners, irons, food processors, hair dryers, etc. The brand was among the top five leaders on the Ukrainian market of small home appliances.
