The BMW brand ranked second in 2017, having climbed from the fifth position in 2016. Some 117 Ukrainians registered this electric car in 2017 (a 3.6% market share).
The Tesla brand was third: 111 Tesla cars were registered last year (a 3.4% market share).
The Ford brand took the fourth place in the ranking with 76 registered electric cars, occupying 2.3% of the market.
The Fiat brand ranked fifth in terms of electric cars registration, which soared by seven times, to 42 vehicles (a 1.3% market share).
Primary registrations accounted for almost 40% of the total number of registered electric cars. Cases when cars were repeatedly or temporarily registered were not included in the statistics.
In 2017, over 1.2 million electric cars were sold in the world, which was a new record high level (a 57% increase from 2016).
