NBU weakens official exchange rate to UAH 27.88 to dollar

The National Bank of Ukraine on Friday evening weakened the official hryvnia exchange rate by two kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 27.88 to the dollar.

The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for February 5:

US$100 costs UAH 2,788.7139 (on February 2, it was UAH 2,786.9462);

EUR 100 costs UAH 3,483.6614 (on February 2, it was UAH 3,472.2563);

10 RUB costs UAH 4.9762 (on February 2, it was UAH 4.9536).

Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 34.66/34.70, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4934/0.4943.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 16:00 was UAH 27.8871 to the dollar, with 602 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $362.02 million.
