Only a single senior vacancy remains open.
Acting head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), Yakiv Smolii, in case of his appointment by the Verkhovna Rada to the post of NBU Governor, does not plan any significant personnel reshuffles on the NBU Board.
"No substantial personnel changes are foreseen. We will have a single vacancy for the post of deputy head responsible for settlement operations. The candidate will be selected in a competition basis," the NBU press service quoted Smolii as saying.

According to Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy, the Verkhovna Rada will consider the appointment of a new NBU head after the approval of the candidate by the relevant committee and an interview with all parliamentary factions, which is possible before the end of February.

Head of the NBU Valeriya Gontareva, after three years in office, submitted to President Petro Poroshenko a resignation letter of May 10, 2017, and went on a long vacation.
Since May 11, 2017, her duties have been performed by first deputy head of the National Bank, Yakiv Smolii.
Before the dismissal, the head of the NBU must report to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
