Resolution No. 871 allowing individuals in Ukraine to buy foreign securities, sell, present or give them by will became effective on February 6, the press service of the National Depository of Ukraine (NDU) has said.

The decision also cancelled restrictions on the volume of foreign securities admitted to circulation on the Ukrainian market.
Any number of securities of an authorized issue can be put into circulation in Ukraine.
What is more, the circulation of securities is not limited to stock exchanges.
Thus, both buyers and sellers can now freely negotiate deals directly.
Securities can also be given away or by will.
In addition, the procedure for the authorization of foreign securities on the Ukrainian market has been simplified substantially, as not only a foreign issuer but also the NDU itself can initiate the vetting.
