Epic fail at Crimea bridge construction

Apparently, bridge spans don’t meet.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UAA1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A construction team working to complete the so-called Kerch bridge aimed to connect the occupied Crimean peninsula with mainland Russia have failed to properly align the metal spans of an automobile overpass at the "Nasyp - Fairway" section just offshore Kerch.

The discrepancy is about 2m long and about 1m high, LB.ua reports.

The incident could be the result of technical miscalculations or the subsidence of extreme supports in the spot where the bridge parts are connected.

A single contractor is Stroygazmontazh owned by Arkady Rotenberg, who is close to Vladimir Putin. The contract was awarded to the company after three previous biddings failed as no other company applied.
