Ukraine builds brand new plant for seed production in Zhytomyr region

A brand new plant for seed production of agricultural crops has been built near the village of Pochuiky in Zhytomyr region's Popilnia district.

The customer was the Ukraina private agricultural enterprise, Pochuiky's village council told UNIAN.

"The first stage of the plant's first start-up facility for seed production of agricultural crops has been built," it said.

It is Ukraine's most modern plant, where the equipment of the recognized world leader, Germany's Petkus, is installed.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the first stage of a robotic dairy farm in Pochuiky was officially launched in the summer of 2015. It was a project of the Eridon company, Ukraine's major distributor of crop protection products and mineral fertilizers.
