Apple Inc. has reportedly registered Limited Liability Company (LLC) Apple Ukraine under Ukrainian jurisdiction.

The corresponding entry appeared in the state register of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, according to the online publication AIN.UA.

April 15, 2020 is indicated as the date of registration, its office is housed by IQ Business Center. Roman Humeniuk is the new company's director.

The register lists Apple Inc. as the ultimate beneficiary.

One of the sources of the publication claims it is U.S.-registered Apple Inc. that has registered the Ukrainian company. But there is no official confirmation yet.

According to a source on the market, the fact that Apple Inc. has opened a legal entity in Ukraine is definitely important: "Most likely, they will not be engaged in the distribution of products themselves – this is a long, complex process. But they could authorize several more other suppliers of legal products to the country. Plus the launch of more localized services. In any case, legal presence is an important sign for the market."

According to AIN.UA, the announcement of the launch of Apple's Ukraine division may take place this summer. However, the company has not yet officially confirmed its plans to work on the Ukrainian market.

Roman Humeniuk has confirmed that he heads Apple's official subsidiary in Ukraine. He also said that the coronavirus-related quarantine had affected plans to launch Apple's business in Ukraine.

"It is still hard to plan something over restrictions on flights and movements of foreign managers," he said in a comment to the news portal Liga.Tech.

UNIAN's editorial office has sent a request to Apple, asking it to either confirm or deny this information.
