Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said the presidential Great Construction Program added 1.5% of the gross domestic product (GDP) to the Ukrainian economy and created almost 500,000 jobs.
"The Great Construction Program gave a colossal multiplier, added, according to our calculations, about 1.5% to GDP and allowed to create a little less than 500,000 jobs during quarantine," he said at the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Coronavirus: Challenges and Answers" in the capital city of Kyiv.

Since March 2020, the national Great Construction Program has been underway in Ukraine, which includes the construction and repair of roads, as well as other infrastructure facilities.
