The borsch kit nationwide will cost UAH 48 (US$1.80) on the average. Ukraine's national soup is the most expensive in Cherkasy region as its vegetable ingredients cost UAH 55 (US$2.05). Moreover, a portion of borsch in Donetsk and Odesa regions turned out to be more expensive than the country's average.
The capital city of Kyiv surprisingly topped the charts of the low-priced kits, where one will pay UAH 43 (US$1.60) for borsch vegetables.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the State Statistics Service listed the products that had grown in price most since the beginning of the year. The prices of buckwheat, onions and apples increased most. The price of buckwheat alone rose by almost 30%. The price of onions more than doubled. Apples rose in price by almost 20%.
