Sales of used cars in Ukraine grow by 35% in Aug

Sales of used cars on Ukraine's primary market formed by imports grew by 35% in August 2020 year-over-year (y-o-y), to 32,800 vehicles.

• In August, Renault Megane was in the lead with 1,926 used cars sold, it said.
• The Volkswagen Passat brand ranked second with 1,848 cars with mileage sold in the eighth month of the year.
• Skoda Octavia was third with 1,672 used cars sold.
• The Volkswagen Golf model became fourth with 1,526 used cars registered.
• Ford Focus ranked fifth with 1,244 cars with mileage sold and registered in August 2020.

In January-August 2020, sales of used vehicles in Ukraine were estimated 206,500 units, which was 4 times up from those of new passenger cars y-o-y.

Sales of cars with mileage on Ukraine's primary market formed by imports grew by 3.5 times in 2019 against 2018, to 408,100 vehicles, according to Ukrautoprom.
