Coal stocks at Ukrainian TPPs shrink by 15% within week

Gas coal reserves decreased by 20.8%, to 470,200 tonnes.

Coal stocks in the warehouses of Ukrainian thermal power plants (TPPs) shrank by 15%, to 692,000 tonnes from December 30, 2020, to January 6, 2021.

This was reported by the Energy Ministry's press service.

Previous developments

In January-November 2020, Ukraine reduced foreign currency spending on imports of coal and anthracite by 40.15% year-on-year (y-o-y), to US$1.55 billion.
