"We planned to reopen the subways at the fourth stage, when the number of new unrelated cases [of COVID-19] would be less than five per region for 10 consecutive days. This refers to subways in the cities of Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro," he told the RBC Ukraine news agency on May 10.

According to Liashko, the decision to reopen this type of transportation will entirely depend on the epidemic situation in the country.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal had said the subways in the three Ukrainian cities would not resume work until May 22.
