Hryvnia almost unchanged against U.S. dollar on Feb 22

The country's national currency remained almost unchanged compared to the previous banking day, February 19, when the official rate was set at UAH 2,784.61 per U.S. dollar.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for February 22 at UAH 2,784.68 per U.S. dollar.

Thus, the country's national currency remained almost unchanged compared to the previous banking day, February 19, when the official rate was set at UAH 2,784.61 per U.S. dollar, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate against the euro for Monday is fixed at UAH 33.78 per euro – the hryvnia lost 13 kopiykas in value since Friday, according to the NBU website.

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for February 22:

  • US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,784.68 (UAH 2,784.61 as of February 19);
  • EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,377.68 (UAH 3,364.78 as of February 19).

Interbank rate

By 16:00 Kyiv time on February 19, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 27.83/27.85 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 33.77/33.79.

The National Bank set the official forex rate for February 19 at UAH 27.85 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by five kopiykas.
