Hryvnia strengthens to U.S. dollar on Oct 22

The country's national currency strengthened by 10 kopiykas.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for October 22 at UAH 28.27 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by 10 kopiykas.

The official forex rate against the euro for Wednesday is fixed at UAH 33.53 per euro – the hryvnia lost three kopiykas in value since Wednesday, according to the NBU website.

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for October 22:

  • US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,827.37 (UAH 2,837.07 as of October 21);
  • EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,353.12 (UAH 3,350.44 as of October 21).

Interbank rate

By 16:00 Kyiv time on October 21, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 28.28/28.30 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 33.51/33.53.

The National Bank set the official forex rate for October 21 at UAH 28.37 to the U.S. dollar, thus strengthening the country's national currency by one kopiyka.
