Hryvnia weakens to UAH 27.56 to U.S. dollar on Sept 1

The country's national currency weakened by eight kopiykas.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for September 1 at UAH 27.56 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by eight kopiykas.

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 32.90 per euro – the hryvnia lost 17 kopiykas in value since Monday, according to the NBU website.

Regulator's rate

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for September 1:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,756.18 (UAH 2,747.59 as of August 31);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,289.50 (UAH 3,242.79 as of August 31).

By 16:00 Kyiv time on August 31, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 27.54/27.57 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 32.88/32.91.

The National Bank set the official forex rate for August 31 at UAH 27.48 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by two kopiykas.
