Hryvnia weakens to UAH 27.60 to U.S. dollar on Sept 2

The country's national currency weakened by four kopiykas.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for September 2 at UAH 27.60 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by four kopiykas.

The official forex rate against the euro for Wednesday is fixed at UAH 33.07 per euro – the hryvnia lost 17 kopiykas in value since Tuesday, according to the NBU website.

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for September 2:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,760.49 (UAH 2,756.18 as of September 1);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,307.21 (UAH 3,289.50 as of September 1).

Interbank rate

By 16:00 Kyiv time on September 1, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 27.60/27.62 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 33.08/33.11.

The National Bank set the official forex rate for September 1 at UAH 27.56 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by eight kopiykas.
