Over the period under review, the regulator did not sell the currency, according to the report by the NBU.
Since the beginning of the year, the central bank's purchases of foreign currency have exceeded sales by $1.115 billion, the report said.
The NBU set the official forex rate for August 21 at UAH 27.48 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by 16 kopiykas.
