Since the beginning of the year, the central bank's purchases of foreign currency have exceeded sales by $1.217 billion, the report said.
The NBU set the official forex rate for September 14 at UAH 27.90 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by seven kopiykas.
