The U.S. dollar in Kyiv's currency exchange booths strengthened against the hryvnia, Ukraine's national currency, as the forex rate changed by three kopiykas to UAH 28.53 on the morning of Monday, January 4.
The euro also gained in value against the hryvnia, as the rate changed by eight kopiykas to UAH 34.98 per euro, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate for Monday, January 4, 2021, at UAH 28.27 per U.S. dollar, thus, the national currency against the dollar remained unchanged compared to the previous official rate set on December 31.
