Another 42 companies will be reorganized.
The Ministry of Defense plans to liquidate 44 state-owned enterprises it supervises.
Another 42 are set to be reorganized by 2022, while five more – to be transferred for privatization to the State Property Fund, the ministry's press service said.
The moves are envisaged by the strategy for state property reform in defense sphere.
"The enterprises mulled for reorganization are important for the defense agency as they are able to work economically, efficiently, and effectively for the needs of the Armed Forces. The sector employs thousands of highly qualified narrow-profile specialists. The task of the defense ministry's leadership is to load state-owned enterprises with orders in the interests of the Armed Forces on time and provide their adequate funding to keep up in terms of technology, staff qualification, and software solutions.
The SOEs, whose activities are not directly related to the target needs of the defense sector, are set to be transferred for privatization to the State Property Fund, the report says.

It is planned that by 2022, a total of 42 state-owned enterprises will be managed by defense officials, of which two are managed by the country's military intelligence.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the State Property Fund of Ukraine will propose to double target revenues from privatization in 2021 - to UAH 12 billion.
