Ukraine's Digital Transformation Ministry, together with the state-owned Diia Company IT firm, is developing a service for creating and transmitting digital copies of paperwork.

"We are working with Diia Company on digital copies of documents... Transferring an electronic copy will save time, costs, and tonnes of paper. Plans include allowing people to avoid visits to government offices as such and transferring digital documents online," as reported by the Diia portal on Facebook.

The new service will see a high level of personal data protection, the report says.

"A third party won't be able to get hold of digital documents: we will record its holder, while the register where the data is stored will have a digital trace of the operation," reads the report.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Digital Transformation Ministry plans to launch the function of issuing a subsidy for utility bills on the Diia public services portal.

The ministry also plans to launch a unified registry of administrative services on the Diia public services portal in a few months.
