Russian imports banned by Ukraine estimated at almost US$637 mln per year – minister

Today, 29 different protective measures are applied with regard to imported products worth about US$414 million.

Ukrainian Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko says Ukraine in 2020 banned imports of Russian products whose value is estimated at UAH 18 billion (US$636.94 million) per year.

Today, 29 different protective measures are applied with regard to imported products worth about UAH 11.7 billion, or US$414 million. In addition, nine probes into imports with signs of price dumping estimated at UAH 4.9 billion, or US$173 million, are underway.

Background

In November 2020, Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers extended until the end of 2021, its decree dated December 30, 2015, which introduced increased import duties on goods from Russia.
