Ukraine saw a surplus in the balance of payments in January-May 2020.
The surplus in the first five months was estimated at US$224 million against a US$466 million deficit a year earlier, the National Bank of Ukraine said on its website.

The surplus of the current account for this period was US$5.597 billion against a deficit of US$1.120 billion for the same period last year.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the balance of payments of Ukraine in 2019 was in surplus estimated at US$5.971 billion, which is double the figure in 2018. The country had posted the surplus for the fifth year in a row.
