U.S. open to support development of Ukraine's nuclear industry – Energoatom VP

Energoatom's Vice President had a meeting with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Energy.

The United States is open to support the development of the Ukrainian nuclear industry.

This was discussed during a meeting between Vice-President of SE NNEGC Energoatom Herman Haluschenko and U.S. Assistant Secretary of Energy for International Affairs Theodore J. Garrish in Washington, D.C., on October 8, Energoatom's press service said on October 9.

"Cooperation between Energoatom and the U.S. Department of Energy is an important element of the effective development of nuclear power in Ukraine. I am absolutely sure that our meeting today is a step towards long and fruitful joint work," Haluschenko said, summing up the negotiations.
