U.S. dollar in Kyiv's exchange booths strengthens on July 2

The U.S. dollar in Kyiv's currency exchange booths strengthened against the hryvnia, Ukraine's national currency, as the forex rate changed by 21 kopiykas to UAH 27.00 on the morning of Thursday, July 2, from UAH 26.79 on July 1.

The euro also gained in value against the hryvnia, as the rate changed by 24 kopiykas to UAH 30.30 per euro from UAH 30.06, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar was sold for UAH 26.70 on average, while the euro for UAH 29.80 on July 2.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate for July 2 at UAH 26.77 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by 10 kopiykas after a two-day rise.
