The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, following a survey of members of the Exporters and Investors Council (EIC) under the ministry, determined TOP 10 destinations that are seen as most attractive to Ukrainian exporters.

"We have reset the Exporters and Investors Council in order to create opportunities for Ukrainian companies, open new markets, and expand foreign trade in Ukrainian goods, so that people could make money, create jobs, pay salaries, and fill the budget with taxes," MFA press service has quoted Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba as saying.

It's exporters themselves who know best the needs and priorities of export operations, Kuleba said, adding that this is why MFA Ukraine turned to the EIC members to compile the TOP 10 most attractive sales markets.

Among them were both traditional and new, promising markets in terms of foreign trade.

The TOP 10 includes Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, India, China, Kazakhstan, Chile, Qatar, Uzbekistan, and Canada.

"In these and other export-attractive countries, economic offices of foreign diplomatic institutions will be working as trade and investment development teams," Kuleba said.

MFA Ukraine will also create additional opportunities for trade with Germany, Turkey, Israel, Belarus, and Moldova.

Among other priority regions for exporters, the ministry will work to create favorable conditions for trade in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific region, Africa, and the Americas.

MFA Ukraine has recalled that in the first quarter of 2020, the European Union remained Ukraine's largest trading partner in terms of trade in goods ($10.6 billion), while China was a top trade partner among countries ($3.2 billion). In terms of exports of goods for the said period, the volume delivered to the EU stood at $4.8 billion, and to China – at $1.3 billion.
