Sales of cash foreign currency by Ukrainians through the banking system, which were estimated at US$908.8 million, exceeded the purchases by US$48.6 million in May 2020.

Sales of foreign currency have been exceeding the purchases for the sixth consecutive month, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
Ukrainian citizens in January-May 2020 sold US$570.9 million more in cash foreign currency through the banking system than they bought.
As UNIAN reported earlier, sales of foreign currency by the Ukrainian population in 2019 amounted to US$14.943 billion, which was US$176.8 million up on purchases.
