Merchandise trade deficit more than halved, while the services trade surplus more than tripled.
Ukraine's balance of foreign trade in goods and services for January-July 2020 was reduced with a deficit of $440 million against a deficit of $6.3 billion reported a year earlier, the National Bank says.
The deficit of foreign trade in goods over the reporting period decreased by more than 50% - from $7.1 billion to $3.2 billion, as reported on the NBU website.
At the same time, the surplus of foreign trade in services increased 3.6 times, from $770 million to $2.8 billion.
