South Africa interested in supply of crocodile meat to Ukraine

South Africa is interested in the supply of crocodile meat to Ukraine.

This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection on September 16.

"South Africa ... has expressed interest in exporting meat products, in particular, crocodile meat, into Ukraine," it said.

It also reported that Ukraine and South Africa had discussed the possibility of exporting Ukrainian meat, namely poultry and pork, as well as eggs and egg products to South Africa.

The parties also touched on conditions for access to each other's markets.

• In January-April 2020, meat production in Ukraine increased by 1.7%, while production of eggs decreased by 0.6%, according to the State Statistics Service.
