Hryvnia continues strengthening, set at UAH 26.97 to U.S. dollar April 30

The official forex rate against the euro for Wednesday is fixed at UAH 29.24 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for April 30 at UAH 26.97 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by eight kopiykas.

The Central Bank fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for April 30:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,697.14 (UAH 2,704.85 as of April 29);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 2,924.24 (UAH 2,942.74 as of April 29).

By 15:00 Kyiv time on April 29, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 26.96/26.99 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 29.26/29.29.

The U.S. dollar at Kyiv's exchange booths on Wednesday morning lost five kopiykas in value, as the rate was UAH 27.25 per U.S. dollar. The value of the euro decreased by five kopiykas, and the rate was UAH 29.60 per euro.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate for Wednesday, April 29, at UAH 27.05 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by five kopiykas.

The hryvnia had seen gains in value against the U.S. dollar for the second consecutive day.
