Ukraine's hryvnia strengthens to UAH 26.93 to U.S. dollar on May 7

The official forex rate against the euro for Thursday is fixed at UAH 29.10 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate of the hryvnia for May 7 at UAH 26.93 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by five kopiykas.

The Central Bank fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for May 7:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,693.23 (UAH 2,697.74 as of May 6);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 2,910.17 (UAH 2,926.91 as of May 6).

By 16:00 Kyiv time on May 6, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 26.87/26.90 to the dollar, while those against the euro were UAH 29.05/29.08.

The U.S. dollar at Kyiv's exchange booths in the first half of May 6 was traded for UAH 27.15, while the forex rate against the euro decreased by 12 kopiykas, to UAH 29.48 per euro.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate for May 6 at UAH 26.98 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by one kopiyka.
