Ukraine's hryvnia weakens to UAH 26.97 to U.S. dollar on May 5

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 29.51 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate of the hryvnia for May 5 at UAH 26.97 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by one kopiyka.

The Central Bank fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for May 5:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,697.49 (UAH 2,695.92 as of May 4);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 2,950.78 (UAH 2,929.39 as of May 4).

By 16:00 Kyiv time on Monday, May 4, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 26.96/26.98 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 29.48/29.50.

The U.S. dollar at Kyiv's exchange booths on Monday morning lost three kopiykas in value, as the rate was UAH 27.17 per U.S. dollar. The value of the euro remained at UAH 29.55.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate for Monday, May 4, at UAH 26.96 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by one kopiyka.
