U.S. dollar keeps strengthening to hryvnia on Jan 5

The euro has also gained against the hryvnia.

The U.S. dollar in Kyiv's currency exchange booths strengthened against the hryvnia, Ukraine's national currency, as the forex rate changed by five kopiykas to UAH 28.58 on the morning of Tuesday, January 5, from UAH 28.53 on January 4.

The euro also gained in value against the hryvnia, as the rate changed by two kopiykas to UAH 35.00 per euro from UAH 34.98, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

Forex rate for January 5

the National Bank set the official forex rate for Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at UAH 28.43 per U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by 16 kopiykas.
