The U.S. dollar in Kyiv's currency exchange booths weakened against the hryvnia, Ukraine's national currency, as the forex rate changed by 11 kopiykas to UAH 28.47 on the morning of Wednesday, January 6, from UAH 28.58 on January 5.
The euro also lost in value against the hryvnia, as the rate changed by five kopiykas to UAH 34.95 per euro from UAH 35.00, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

Official forex rate for January 6
The National Bank set the official forex rate for Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at UAH 28.40 per U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by three kopiykas.
