Ukraine pays US$182.50 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas imported in Nov

The October price was US$171.24 per 1,000 cubic meters.

For natural gas imported in November 2020, Ukraine paid an average price of US$182.50 per 1,000 cubic meters, which was 6.5% up from the figure reported in October 2020.

"The State Customs Service of Ukraine has calculated the average customs value of imported natural gas formed at customs clearance from November 1 to 30, 2020. It stood at UAH 5,161.50, or US$182.50 per 1,000 cubic meters," the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture said on its website with reference to the customs service.

The average price of imported natural gas paid by Ukraine in October 2020 was US$171.24 per 1,000 cubic meters, which was 22% up from September 2020.

In November 2020, gas prices for Ukrainian households grew by 24% against October, to UAH 7.16 (US$0.25) per cubic meter. The consumers bought gas at prices within the range of UAH 6.33 (US$0.22) to UAH 8.96 (US$0.32) per cubic meter.

On August 1, the natural gas market opened for the country's households, who were allowed to independently select their gas supplier.

National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine's public service obligations (PSOs) to supply gas to households expired, but municipal heating companies will continue to receive gas at prices regulated by Naftogaz.
