Ukraine in Sep pays US$140.54 per 1,000 cubic meters of imported gas

For natural gas imported in September 2020, Ukraine paid an average price of US$140.54 per 1,000 cubic meters, which was 32.5% up from the figure reported in August 2020.

"The State Customs Service of Ukraine has calculated the average customs value of imported natural gas that was formed during customs clearance from September 1 to 30, 2020. It was UAH 3,955.76, or US$140.54 per 1,000 cubic meters," the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture said on its website with reference to the customs service.

Gas price in Ukraine

The average price of imported natural gas paid by Ukraine in August 2020 was US$106.10 per 1,000 cubic meters, which was 14.7% down from July 2020.

In September 2020, gas prices for Ukrainian households were within the range of UAH 4.4 (US$0.16) to UAH 7 (US$0.25) per cubic meter.

National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine's public service obligations (PSOs) to supply gas to households expired, but municipal heating companies will continue to receive gas at prices regulated by Naftogaz.
